Our Classes & Service
We offer yoga classes, and more, that range in challenge to fit every level. Prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga and Garbha Sanskar are taught both online and offline in Hyderabad; every practice below can be learned either way.
Yoga according to prakriti, your constitution. Prakriti is the natural characteristic of an individual and is responsible for the development of the three gunas — Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Ayurveda defines prakriti as the mental and physical composition of the individual.
People of all ages and walks of life can benefit from the techniques yoga offers. It keeps the joints steady and flexible, helps maintain healthy bones and muscles, improves digestion, clears bowel movements and regulates blood pressure.
Before conception, practice prepares a woman physically, emotionally and spiritually. In the postnatal period, when many physical and mental changes occur, it tones abdominal muscles and brings the body back into shape, helps prevent post-natal depression, balances emotions and improves overall well-being.
A form of modern yoga designed for children, with asanas that increase strength, flexibility and co-ordination. Yoga develops awareness of body, mind and breath, helps arrest a child’s wandering mind, and brings the marvellous inner light all children have to the surface.
Ayurveda is a healing system that focuses primarily on health; yoga is an Indian system to improve tone and reduce stress. Ayurveda defines well-being as harmony of the body, mind and higher self — and that drive to the self is what connects this science to yoga.
Knowing your partner’s predominant dosha sheds light on their tendencies and personality. Compassionate listening and communication are the keys to a fulfilling relationship, and Yoga and Ayurveda guide us to consider balance in the whole person.
A form of yoga that uses mantras to awaken the self and deepen the meditative aspect of physical practice. Through mantra we engage the mind by focusing on sound, duration and the number of repetitions — recitation shows how we can modify the direction and state of our lives through sound.
The yogic practice of focusing on the breath. Prana means vital life force and yama means to gain control. In yoga the breath is associated with prana, so pranayama is a means to elevate the prana shakti, the life energies.
Meditation takes you on a journey of relaxation. You clear the clutter of the mind to calm it, which reduces stress and improves overall health. The goal is to learn how to let go of whatever is weighing you down and realise the peace the mind is capable of.
Ayurveda holds that three energies — Vata, Pitta and Kapha — circulate in the body and govern physiological activity, and their proportions determine temperament and constitution. Satwik cooking prepares food for the dietary need of each body type: simple, balanced, nutritious, focused on healing, prevention and care.
Bandha means to lock, to close off, to stop. In practice, the flow of energy to a particular area of the body is blocked; when the bandha is released the energy floods more strongly through the body with increased pressure. Bandhas are used to stimulate prana and the chakras.
Ayurveda names five cleansing techniques — panchakarma: Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana. Yoga names six, the Shatkarmas: Dhauti, Vasti, Neti, Nauli, Trataka and Kapalbhati. Together they help achieve not only a healthy body but a replenished mind and soul.

Vata, Pitta and Kapha are the three doshas. In balance they sustain the body; out of balance they undo it. Every practice we teach begins by finding out which of the three is asking for attention.
Ayurveda along with Yoga helps us gain complete harmony and balance in body and mind, so that we can discover our true Self that is one with all. As a team of Ayurveda and Yoga professionals we focus on the whole of an individual — physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Classes are led by Dr. Saraswathi Bukka, BAMS — a registered Ayurveda practitioner of over 15 years, a certified prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor, and lead trainer on prenatal and postnatal teacher-training programmes.
